So I thought I'd write this blog during the Liverpool v Swansea game although I started after 25 mins so have missed the beginning!
What have you missed, well Benteke should have scored after a fantastic pass over the top from Emre Can, Unfortuneatly, Benteke was unable to control the ball and the chance slipped away. James Milner picked up a yellow card for what seemed like a good challenge.
Swansea have a had a couple of chances also, to be fair I'm surprised it's still 0-0.
Liverpool with a great chance after a foul on Benteke gives them a free kick right on the edge of the Swansea penalty box, sadly Milner puts the ball into row z. Goalkick to Swansea. Two minutes plus stoppage time left in the first half.
Moreno makes a great tackle halting Swansea's counter attack down their left wing and the ref blows his whistle bring the first half to a close.
Half time at Anfield, Liverpool 0 - 0 Swansea.
Second half gets underway and the game pretty much continues as it was before the break, Liverpool probing the Swansea defence looking for the opener.
James Milner puts Liverpool in front from the penalty spot after the ref blows his whistle for a handball against Swansea.
Ten minutes left to go and I have to admit I'm getting a little nervous here with only a one goal lead. We need to kill this game off before it comes back to bite us on the ass!
Full time at Anfield,
Liverpool 1 - 0 Swansea
PS: I probably won't write another blog during the match as as you can see I didn't really get much writing done and there are now big gaps in the game commentary.
